Looking for suggestions on replacing some transmitter battery packs for Futaba Conquest fp-t4nbp transmitters.

Where is a good place to locate something like this and what should I expect to pay?

I'm sure the folks at Anch House of Hobbies can help you out. I bought 8 AA batteries from them one time and soldered a replacement pack for an older JR tx that I bought at a swap meet, it worked fine. cost about $20

Since then I have bought batteries at Radio shack and battery store on Int'l Airport road. Frigid North is another source, its best to buy "tabbed" batteries and use shrinkrap to secure. If you have the old pack you can reuse the wire and insulation panels.

Or check out SR batteries, I've heard good things about them. here's a link: www.srbatteries.com

I've got a Futaba nicad pack (700ma) that I'm not using. You can have it for free - see me at the picnic, or give me a call. I believe it's still good but if not Tower Hobbies also can set you up.

The original replacement battery costs $40.00 ( for a club member ). Though, we would have to order one. Building one is possible as well.

These are all great. I'm not sure I'm good enough to make my own paks and SR wanted something in the range of 50 bucks from what I could tell....but maybe I was looking at the wrong thing.

I have the nicad pack you need! It comes with a convenient carrying case called a ty4f. Brand new never used Futaba 4 channel on channel 12 (low band). I also have a Futaba 6 channel non computer tx on channel 22. Either can be bought for a $20 dollar bill. Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks for the offer. I was able to get some batteries from the local hobby store and jumped into making my own.

Worked out great!
