OK, I'm getting ready to purchase a new charger that has balancing capability and I need to get the correct balance adaptor for my batteries when I purchase the charger. Now, the issue is that I have 2 different 3 cell batteries that both have different plugs on them. They are both off-brand stuff and 1 has a 4 pin 4 wire setup while the other has a 5 pin 4 wire setup. Is there any way to tell which balance adaptors I need for these or can I switch the plugs on my batteries to a common plug type so I can just purchase 1 type of adaptor for my charger? Help please!?! I'm a fuel powered guy trying to struggle through some electric stuff. Thanks,
JAY

Jay,

I always take that line of questioning to Ryan at House of Hobbies... he can hook you up - (no PUN intended) It would make just too much SENSE to have a "standarized" system for charging li-po's! It seems that every manufacturer has their own little connector ( AKA moneymaker)

That's probably pretty sound advice. Here are some pictures of the plugs on the two batteries if anyone has any ideas.

Here is the first plug. 4 pin 4 wire

Here is the 2nd plug. 5 pin 4 wire

If you get a Cellpro Charger they have several kinds of addapters available for different connectors. I would think the other better chargers would also.

As I mentioned on the other board, you should check out the Power Up ESC from Heads Up RC, [url]http://stores.ebay.com/Heads-Up-RC[url]. These are very reliable ESC's at about half the price of CC.

Thanks Daryl, I'm going to get this stuff figured out as soon as I get some extra time. The fire academy is over so I should actually have some days off soon.
