Can an ESC be burnt up by a bad motor...
My guess is yes.. anyone else had it happen?
or
did the esc burn up and cause the motor to go bad?

I've never had an ESC or motor burn up so I couldn't say, but there's a forum dedicated to electric's. It's called Wattflyer, you might find a solution there.
